Emerald

Just having a look through my InStyle magazine when I should be finishing of my coursework and came across Tom Ford's new collection modelled by the gorgeous Kate Bosworth. The collection is amazing and so sexy and Tom Ford is definitely living up to his provocative name. The pieces are classy but with the use of materials like sheer and leather it definetly vamps it up a bit but in a great way. Kate looks flawless and i'm so jealous she got to wear some of Tom's amazing designs.

The emerald green dress is my favourite and I love, love, love it, this colour is gorgeous and it suits so many skin tones and hair colours. Kate herself says of the dress "What an exquisite green. I love how the dress fits like a glove. It's a modern riff on an old fashioned gown."

Little Miss

From left to right - 'Little Miss Chatterbox,'  'Little Miss Splendid,'  'Little Miss Sunshine,'  'Little Miss Naughty'

Was meant to blog about this cute Little Miss Nails Inc set a while back but totally forgot, I love all the colour and I am obsessed as it is about Nail's Inc nail varnishes. I always get the latest season's colours set of nail varnishes in my stocking at christmas so I'm hoping I'll get a new set this christmas too :) I think it's a great idea that they colaborated with the Little Miss brand and each colour has it's own name. Love them all but think i've gotta say my favourite is the 'Little Miss Splendid' and it's the jade green colour, it's just a bit different and when you apply two coats it really adds a great pop of colour.

Liz Earle

Rediscovered this great cleanser which I used to use when I was younger, its a beauty award winner and it's great for all skin types. My mam got me into using a few years back as she loves the brand herself, it smells gorgeous and makes your skin feel so soft. It also includes a pure muslin cloth and this helps to exfoliate at the same time.

Liz Earle is a British brand made in the Isle of Wight and the cleanser is made of natural acitve ingredients including cocoa butter, rosemary, chamomile, hops and eucalyptus, making it great for all skin types.

Just picked up the christmas limited edition one which comes in a cute bottle and is an extra large size so even better as it will last for ages :) Take a look at the Liz Earle website here.

Leather Love

Blouse - Miss Selfridge  Leather Treggings - H&M  Boots - M&S

Always loved leather and i loved these leather treggings from H&M as soon as I seen them in the shop but they didn't have them in my size :( but got lucky recently when I was just mooching around the shops with some friends and spotted one random pair on a rail so had to get them, it was meant to be obviously!

Just bought these boots the other day from the Limited Collection at Markies, had been eyeing them up everytime I went into work so when shopping with Mam the other day I just had to get them, had to get another pair of boots so I don't end up walking my Ambush boots into the ground.

Ambush

Received my gorgeous Topshop ambush boots in the mail the other week, so glad I went for those ones, so comfy and have been living in them since I got them. Really wanted the studded ones but unfortunately they were sold out, gutted!
The jumper is a bargain from Tesco, you can get some great finds in their clothing department for such good prices. Love the print on it and it's not too chunky so can still layer it under jackets.

Jumper - Tesco  Jeans - Next  Boots - Topshop  Bag - H&M

This bag has been a statement in my wardrobe for many years now, got it in H&M in Paris and I love, love it, still haven't got bored of it after so long, just love the colour!

Statement Mustard

Sorry for neglecting my blog for the past couple of weeks this is mainly due to the fact I have no internet in my flat (Booo!). A few weeks ago I went down to Edinburgh with one of my best friend's Chris to go and see some of our friends who now live down there and had a lovely couple of days and lots of drinking was involved, love a night out in the capital. Also went to a place called Camera Obscura one of the days and it was a lot of fun, it has lots of funky mirrors and weird optical illusions, you also get a great view of Edinburgh from up there, would definetly recommend it.

Also hit Princes Street for some shopping and bought myself this gorgeous mustard colour dress from Miss Selfridge, I love the colour and I don't have enough of it in my wardrobe, it's a pretty simple dress with cut outs at the side, just added a statement necklace and it made it night out ready.

Wore it the other night for a night out with my flat mate Hannah but forgot to take full length photos, so you'll just have to make do with this little snap.

Miss Selfridge have some great party dresses at the moment, perfect for this time of year. Here are a few of my fav's below but head over to their website for a wee look.

Mirror print dress - £42
Embellished dress - £89

Stella McCartney inspired polka dot dress - £42

Top of the boots

Black Chelsea Ankle Boots   -  £36
Dalmation Heeled Chelsea Boots  -   £75

Seen these in the Edinburgh Topshop last week and  fell in love with them, definitely a fan of the dalmatian print trend and think these boots are a great way to incorporate a touch of the trend into any outfit.

Side Zip Boots  -  £75

Ultimate Chelsea Boot   -  £65

Studded Ankle Boots   -  £150

So I am currently on the hunt for a gorgeous pair of ankle boots to keep my feet warm from the baltic weather conditions we are now definitely experiencing, winter has officially arrived! All of the above stunning boots are from Topshop and as I think you'll all agree they have produced a beautiful collection of boots this season. Can't decide whether I want a more practical, everyday flat pair or to go all out and brave the heels (not sure that will be such a great idea when the ice comes), but will definitely look great dressed up too. Think I may just try and persuade my Mam to buy me a pair, using the great excuse as I need them for winter and for my own health to help prevent me from catching a cold.

Happy boot shopping!

Behind the Scenes

Here is a little sneak peek at our fashion photoshoot for our fashion magazine at Uni, we decided to go with a modern gothic theme and shot it at St Machar's  Catherdral in Aberdeen which is a pretty eerie location so fitted in well with our vision for the shoot. The girls and I had such a fun day and enjoyed doing all the styling and modelling for it and we had a great help from our wonderful photographer Bob McAteer, big thanks to him! Can't wait to see the final shots and see how it all turned out! Of course we had to celebrate afterwards so we headed to Tgi Friday's for dinner and cocktails!

Black Swan

Bodysuit - Primark  Tutu - Primark  Shoes - New Look  Tiara - Borrowed from Katy

Halloween ended up being a mad rush for me all day due to me being the same old me and being disorganised with everything I do, so I spent the afternoon running around the shops trying to put pieces together to be Natalie Portman's character from the film Black Swan (which I decided on being that morning!). After about an hour running around like a headless chicken I ended up with the above outfit, didnt end up being too bad and I had fun recreating the dramatic make up. The pictures were taken at my lovely wegie friends, Katy and Ruth, who hosted a halloween party. Katy is dressed as a cat and my other lovely friend Helen is dressed in a gothic style which I think you'll agree she really suits that particular look! All in all it was a very fun night with my beautiful fashion friends.

Vintage Fur

I love a bit of vintage fashion but what makes it that extra bit special is when you find a gorgeous piece that originally belonged to someone in your family. This gorgeous faux fur coat was my Nana's from the 1970s in which she used to wear it with long dresses. I love the vintage feel to it and I practically live it in since I live in Scotland which is the coldest country ever. It goes with nearly everything in my wardrobe and I adore it because I love items of clothing with stories behind them.
